How well do you know balloon weights?

You’re planning the perfect party…the menu is perfect, the decorations are beautiful but something is going on with your balloons!  They are tipping over every time somebody walks by…ugh!  Did you know that there are different size balloon weights?  The balloon type, size and amount will determine the balloon weight size you will need.  I’ve put together a little chart to help you out…

  • 9″, 11″ & 12″ Latex Balloon or 18″ Foil Balloon – 8 Gram Balloon Weight
  • 16″ Latex Balloon – 15 Gram Balloon Weight
  • 22″ Bubble or Square Foil Balloon – 35 Gram Balloon Weight
  • 32″, 36″, 40″ Foil or Shaped Balloon – 65 Gram Balloon Weight
  • Small Balloon Cluster (3-4 Balloons) – 65 Gram Balloon Weight
  • Large Balloon Cluster (7-9 Balloons) – 100 Gram Balloon Weight

Balloon weights may or may not be identified with the grams by stores.  Instead they may be identified as regular, heavy, etc.  Here is a cheat sheet to help you determine the right size balloon weight.

  • Regular Weight – 8-10 Grams
  • Heavy Weight – 15-17 Grams
  • Extra Heavy Weight – 30-35 Grams
  • Compact Jumbo Weight – 100-110 Grams
  • Jumbo Weight – 130-135 Grams

Hopefully this provided you with a little more insight on anchoring down your balloons.

Happy Party Planning!

Help!! My wedding colors don’t match.

Selecting wedding colors that reflect you, your fiance, and the season can be a difficult task!  Wedding magazines provide you with the hottest colors for the season but doesn’t provide you with coordinating colors.  I’m here to help…I’m providing you with the top 5 wedding colors for 2017 AND the perfect colors to mix in!

AQUA

Aqua is a greenish-blue color.  Some refer to this color as cyan.

Want a feminine & romantic look to your wedding?  Pair Aqua with pastel shades of pink, lilac, peach and yellow.  Want to make your wedding more bold or masculine?  Choose shades of gold, dark green, navy, plum or black. Aqua is a great color to use for any season.

BLUSH

Blush is a medium tone red-violet color but most refer to it as a pale pink.

Blush is such a pretty color but can easily be “washed out” with other colors.  The best colors to match with your blush colored wedding are: Navy, Chocolate, Olive, Black & Burgundy, Teal and Emerald. Blush could be used during any season.

CORAL

Coral is in the pink family with hints of orange.

Coral really pops with teal, grey, white, ivory and yellow. Coral makes a great color palette for spring or summer weddings.

FRENCH BLUE

French Blue is a beautiful deep grey blue.

I am in LOVE with this color! This color pairs well with many colors but I would recommend peach, blush, purple, white, grey, black and gold. This color will suit a fall or winter wedding perfectly.

SAGE

Sage is a greenish gray color resembling that of dried sage leaves.

Sage is the perfect color for those planning a rustic or country themed wedding.  This color pairs well with rust, dark green, charcoal, brown, cream and tan.  Sage looks great at fall weddings.

Bottom Line…be creative and have fun with your colors.  The wedding process is demanding and draining at times, enjoy every moment and don’t stress yourself.  It will all work out in the end and most importantly you are marrying the person you love!

Happy Wedding Planning!

SRR Special Guest – Ernest Sledge “Godchild The Movement”

Joining us for the first episode in Season 2 of She’s Royal Radio is

Mr. Ernest Sledge, “Godchild The Movement”

S2E1 - Ernest Sledge

Ernest Sledge was born Dec 7th.   He has one brother and three sisters, but was raised in Pontiac Michigan, with one younger in a single parent home by his father.  His father worked so hard he didn’t realize how he struggled to provide for the two. He recalls his childhood being as fun as any normal childhood.

S2E1 - Ernest Sledge 3

Faced with peer pressure, gangs, drugs, wanting to be cool and fit in, Ernest risked falling into the wrong crowd.  The path he followed he lost plenty of friends to the streets, some locked up and even gunned down due to gang violence.  Ernest refused to throw all his dads hard work away by wasting his life becoming a statistic.  At 15, he realized his passion for music and formed a high school rap group “2 Impossible”…They rapped at school in lunchrooms and between classes.  Soon after high school, Ernest decided to give his life to God on April 11, 1993, starting “Godchild the Movement”.  In his efforst as “Godchild The Movement”, he sets out to change the mindset of our youth from negative to positive.

He intends to lead by example, encouraging one to encourage another.  “Godchildthemovement” is more than just music, it is about helping, nurturing, progression, strengthening and support.  Ernest plans on working with our youth, he plans to give back by building youth centers with computer labs, recreation rooms, lounges and libraries.  His ideas go from teen summit rooms where kids can have teen talk shows to broadcast on public television, to tutoring and mentoring for children.  His music is not to be confuse with gangster rap.  The twist is non violent and positive.  In today industry, people have gotten away from Hip Hop and more into a fad, leaving us with nothing to really remember.  Ernest goal with “Godchildthemovement” is to bring us back by giving us music we can ride, sing along and dance to with a positive message.  That message is, it’s okay to have your faith  in GOD and be yourself.

As a Hip-Hop Missionary, Godchild is focused on effectively reaching the lost, and those influenced by the Hip-Hop culture.  He encourages born again believers with Biblically inspired lyrics and thought provoking messages.  Godchild believes that, “God used many vehicles to minister to people”.

Godchild first hit the local scene with his promotional single “Blow the whistle On Violence”. On this track he uses his remarkable talents to disclose the underlying problems of violence while encouraging strong faith in God. His first debut single “Gotta Stop Running” is an upfront take-charge track that defines inspiration, faith and hope. The most amazing aspect of this track is that it marks Godchild’s characteristic mastery of balancing an “underground” hip-hop aesthetic, with elements from the gospel message of Jesus Christ.

Godchild brings a non-compromised message of Christ Jesus through concerts and speaking engagements in atmospheres like schools, concerts, churches, youth groups, festivals, and anywhere else God directs him to go and minister.
